With the winds and rains of Sandy whipping the arse of much of the country, here are some calmer Fall scenes for you to enjoy.

Optimus Prime: Lost Audition Tapes 2

Optimus Prime returns with a behind the scenes look at his failure as a commercial pitchman.  In these outtakes, Prime reveals a few personal tidbits that he's probably not proud of today...

Big thanks again goes out to Meghan Ross and Joe Harvey for helping me bring the baritone Autobot to life.

2 Nerds, 1 Podcast Ep. 6

Yo, check out Joe and Tim's latest episode of 2 Nerds, 1 Podcast.  This week they get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame voting and shenanigans.

Star Wars Tomatoes

Morning.  As we begin this blogcast day, I'm in a Star Wars state of mind.  Of course, this could be related to the fact that Comic Fiction's next short is based in a galaxy far, far away.  What we have here are your first look at some of the players that will fill this fantasy.  I affectionately refer to them as tomatoes, but soon Padawans, you'll see what they really are.

And, with Star Wars on the brain, I bring you the trailer for the original flick.  Before anyone knew what was gonna hit'em and it was just some flick about space.  Enjoy...

Optimus Prime Sneak Peek

Check it!  A quick sneak peek at Optimus Prime acting it up our next short.  Be sure to be here next week when it debuts!  Or subscribe to our YouTube channel and get the updates as soon as they happen.  Catch you Monday!

Optimus Prime Colors

As we begin this blogcast day, I'm still hammering away at the big guy.  I threw some paints at the Autobot leader with the intent of landing on old/bad TV.  Up first are the lines and the flat colors...

Next, a minimal shading with a very slight 3 color.  Then a filtered version trying to achieve the old school saturated television look of the 80s.

I see some tweaks to the TV version but it's close.

That's it for now, but here's a guy dancing to the Optimus Prime Dubstep mix.  Why?  Cause why the hell not.

Optimus Prime in da Hizzouse

Yes, I did put "Hizzouse" in the title.  As we begin this blogcast day friends, neighbors and marmoset lovers, I bring to you Optimus Prime.  Or at least Comic Fiction's version of him as he will appear in a video next week.

First up pencil layouts of Mr. Prime standing and kneeling.  After that, we got him chest open with the "Matrix" popping out.

Now, what in the hell could Optimus Prime possibly be doing in a Comic Fiction sketch?  You'll have to tune in to find kiddies.  I assure you, you will not be disappointed.

And in the spirit of Optimus Prime and Halloween, I bring you a guy getting into his more than awesome home made Prime outfit.

28 Cartoon Theme Songs in 7 Minutes

I'd like to end this blogcast day with a happy melody of cartoon giddy up.

Have a happy...

Here are some embiggened versions of this week's and last week's banner and profile photography. Please do enjoy.

The Original Suck'em Downs

As we begin this blogcast day, I present to you the OG Suck'em Downs.  Here is the first television spot for Suck'em Downs which aired sometime in the 1950s.  It's of a different time yes, but it's wholesome and sincere tone sure makes me wish it took an hour to essentially heat up a steak and gravy candy bar.  Please do enjoy and thanks to Bruce Kaldor on the narration.

Fall / Winter Photo Preview

Ello dere.  He's a preview of the 100612 photo shoot and some of the pics you'll soon be seeing throughout the fall and winter.

It's An Internet Troll Charlie Brown and Turkey Links

It's been a bit since the blogcast day has begun and for that, I am sorry.  But know this, it's been due to creating more delicious Comic Fiction content.  So, hopefully the coming silliness will more than make up for the lack of silliness the last few weeks.  And speaking of silly...

While I was in factory, running the assembly line of funny, news came in from Hollywood that 20th Century Fox is making a brand new Charlie Brown movie.  Now, this in itself really isn't news.  Brand's like "Peanuts" are never gonna go away.  Hell, there's another iteration of the the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on TV, with another movie in the works.  The Muppets were trotted out on the big screen again last year and there's another Fast and Furious flick being made.  I bring that up cause Vin Diesel has to be either a cartoon or a puppet or CGI.  He will never go away folks.  I don't mean that in the "How does this guy still get work?" kind of way.  I mean that in the 50 years from now, "How is Vin Diesel even the fuck alive?" kind of way.  Which is fine with me cause I want him to make enough Furious Fast films that I can watch them on a 24 hour loop.  Just like Good Times.

Anyway.  Like I said, new Chuckie Brown flick, not news.  But, this little piece of info in the press release got the interwebs attention...

"We have been working on this project for years," Craig Schulz, president of Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates, said in a statement. "We finally felt the time was right and the technology is where we need it to be to create this film."

So yeah.  "The technology is where we need it to be to create this film."  What the shite does that mean?!  Could it be possible, they're planning a fully computer generated Peanuts movie?  How downtrodden could Chuckie Brown be, all shiny and plasticiney.  Well, we don't know for sure what that statement means, but it has us old folks that watched Peantus' specials on CBS as kids shaking in our black nylon socks and slippers.

With the scary thought of a CGI Snoopy interacting with a real life Neil Patrick Harris in mind, here are this morning's Peanut flavored Turkey Links.

It's Black History Month Charlie Brown!

This is the Charlie Brown Special I've been waiting for my whole life.

SNOOPY, FINISH LUCY!

The battle of Snoopy and Lucy set to Mortal Kombat sound effects.

You're Entering Puberty Charlie Brown!

While this is meant to be funny, I find it sad and depressing.

A Charlie Brown Kwanzaa!

We end with the infamous A Charlie Brown Kwanzaa, one of the most offensive (pun intended) and oft imitated internet videos of all time.  Not safe for work or anything, it's a profanity laced, racially insensitive hot mess of internet glory.  You have been warned.

Lights, Camera, Anime

Here's a sampling of an upcoming anime influenced project.  These shots were done over the weekend, primarily as a test.  I'm liking the feel and am looking forward to developing the rest of the project.
